So clearly... One thing we gotta get going is a title for our game. We have an awesome game idea and it requires a suitably awesome title

So today during the VGDA meeting we talked about what type of titles we wanted or were looking for. Nathan, you said that we should keep the title simple and make sure it's not too complicated since this is a very simple game with simple concepts. I believe many of us agreed to this so we have to keep titles simple, preferably single word titles.

Francis suggested following the motif of "Broken" because it seems to be a reoccurring motif in the game, or what we plan, so titles following the lines of broken, but not exactly using the word. We also suggested other titles that followed the motifs of darkness, evil, and sleep. Here's the list of some of the titles we came up with and are debating about:

-Fragment
-Forgotten
-Ascension
-Slumber
-Fractured
-Banishment

We found it very hard to come up with single word titles so Nathan came up with the idea to think of phrases that would explain the game, or if we wanted a more complex title, possible titles. Some of the titles we came up with during this exercise:

-Summit of Nightmares
-Broken Shackles

We could use this method Nathan suggested to think of a title. By coming up with a complicated title, we can work together to simplify that title to single word title and possibly use for our game.

That was basically what today's meeting was about, just title discussion. If any of you guys have suggestions feel free to share them and they don't necessarily have to follow the same motifs the others do. If you have a title that doesn't match up with the motifs were discussed, don't let that stop you from sharing your suggestion, we might actually use it, who knows!

So yeah, you guys can post suggestions here, single word, or phrase titles, anything will do. We just need to decide on a title which is a difficult process and requires everyone's input and ideas.
